Couplings, valves, check valves and meters

This category brings together couplings (threaded, Guillemin, Storz, DIN, SMS, Clamp, cam-lock...), valves and taps, check valves and strainers, pressure gauges, water meters, nozzles and pump mounting accessories.

Choosing the right coupling

  • Standard: the coupling must belong to the same system as your equipment (Guillemin, Storz, DIN...).
  • Diameter: nominal (DN) or thread in inches.
  • Material: stainless steel, brass, galvanised, PVC or polypropylene, according to the liquid.

Frequently asked questions: Hydraulic accessories

How do I know which coupling to choose?

Note the system (Guillemin, Storz, DIN, SMS, Clamp...) and the diameter of your existing equipment. Two different systems cannot be connected directly: you need an adapter.

What is the difference between a check valve and a strainer?

A check valve lets the liquid flow in one direction only and prevents backflow. A strainer filters impurities at the suction; a strainer with a foot valve combines both functions.

Which material should I choose for my liquid?

Stainless steel suits most liquids, including food products; brass suits water and air; PVC and polypropylene suit many chemicals. Check compatibility on the product page.

What is a pressure gauge used for?

It shows the pressure of the installation. It helps to set a pressure switch, check a pump and detect a blockage or a leak.
