PERROT fittings are male and female ends that mate with each other to quickly connect a hose to a pump, a tank or another hose. The category also includes a non-return valve with strainer and ribbed end.

Points to watch

  • Male with female: two ends of the same type will not mate.
  • Diameter: it must match the hose and the accessory, see the product page.
  • Valve and strainer: to be placed on the suction side to hold back debris and prevent loss of prime.

You need a male on one side and a female on the other. Identify the part already on your installation, then take the complementary piece.

What is the non-return valve with strainer for?

Fitted at the end of the suction hose, it keeps water in the line when stopped, which helps the pump stay primed, and the strainer stops large debris.

How can I limit leaks?

Check that the seating surfaces and the gasket are clean and in good condition, and tighten without excess. Replace any damaged part.
