Locking couplings for fire-fighting equipment

DSP fittings are locking half-couplings used in France on hoses, engine-driven pumps, hydrants and dividing breechings of fire equipment. Two identical half-couplings join by rotation, without tools, with a gasket providing the seal. They come as hose-tail, female-threaded, male-threaded, blanking cap and dividing versions.

Elements of the range

  • Hose-tail half-coupling: fixed on the hose.
  • Female or male threaded half-coupling: screws onto a pump or a pipe.
  • Blanking cap: protects or closes an end.
  • Dividing breeching: splits a flow between several outlets.

Frequently asked questions: DSP fittings

How do I join two DSP couplings?

Present the two half-couplings with the gasket in place, then rotate them until they lock. Check the condition of the gasket and follow the manufacturer's manual.

How do I check compatibility?

Check the nominal diameter and the type of half-coupling before ordering. The product pages give the available diameters and compatible fittings.

What maintenance should be planned?

Regularly check the gaskets and the condition of the locks, and rinse the couplings after use. Replace any damaged gasket before putting the equipment back into service.
