A pump for high-flow boreholes

6-inch borehole pumps are designed for high flows, of several tens of m³/h: irrigation, livestock, industry, water supply for public bodies. They fit in larger-diameter boreholes and run on three-phase 400 V.

Sizing your installation

  • The flow you need and the total head, read from the pump curve.
  • The inside diameter of the borehole, which must take the pump and its cable.
  • The immersion depth, taking into account the dynamic water level.

Frequently asked questions: 6" borehole pumps

How do I choose the flow of a 6-inch pump?

Start from your water needs and check the flow-head curve on the product page. The borehole must also be able to supply that flow: the driller's advice is valuable.

Do I need a separate motor?

Depending on the model, the pump is sold with or without a motor. Check the contents on the product page. A compatible 6-inch submersible motor is in the dedicated category.

What accessories should I plan for the installation?

Think of the well head, the submersible electric cable, the riser pipe and a protection box. These items are available in the Borehole and well accessories and Electrical box categories.
