Electrodes, relays and detectors to control a level
This category brings together tank and reservoir level control solutions: electrodes, control relays, vertical or horizontal detectors and dry-run kits. They are used to fill, empty or protect a pump against running dry.
How to choose
- Electrodes and relays: suited to conductive liquids, with several thresholds.
- Electromechanical detectors: one or two thresholds, vertical or horizontal mounting.
- Float for an open-air tank: simple and with no electronics.
Frequently asked questions: Level control
Does a level relay work with every liquid?
With electrodes, the liquid must be conductive. For other liquids, choose a different detection principle; the product page states the conditions.
How many thresholds do I need?
One threshold is enough for simple safety; two thresholds let you automatically control filling or emptying between a low and a high level.
How do I protect a pump against lack of water?
Place a probe or detector at the minimum acceptable level and connect it to the pump panel. Follow the diagram in the manual.
