The 10-inch filter housing, the basis of home filtration

A filter housing consists of a head connected to the pipe and a bowl holding a 10-inch cartridge. This standard size gives access to many cartridges and lets you change the type of filtration without changing the housing.

Single, double, kit: what to choose?

  • Single filter: one filtration stage, the most common.
  • Filters in series: several cartridges of different fineness or type.

Which cartridge goes in a 10-inch housing?

It depends on the need: sediment (polypropylene, wound), taste and odours (activated carbon) or limescale (polyphosphate). See the 10-inch cartridges category.

How do I install and open the filter?

Fit it on the pipe following the flow direction. Before opening the bowl, shut off the water and release the pressure. The housing wrench makes opening easier.

What is a by-pass for?

A by-pass lets you change cartridges without cutting the water supply to the house. It is useful when the water must not be interrupted; the product page states compatibility with your filter.
