Threaded brass fittings for manifolds and connections

Brass is a common metal for threaded fittings: it screws on easily and resists water well. The category offers 3-way and 5-way fittings, nipples, extensions, stand-by pipes, fully threaded sockets and a drum bung.

Building an installation

  • Multi-way fittings: make a small manifold or split a flow.
  • Extension and stand-by pipe: offset or extend a connection.
  • Swivel nut: join two elements without rotating them, with a sealing-wire hole where provided.

How do I make a brass fitting watertight?

Use a suitable sealant on the thread, without excess, and tighten gradually. The manufacturer's instructions take precedence, notably for drinking water.

How do I check the threads before ordering?

Identify the size and thread type (male or female) of each element to connect. The product page gives the diameter in inches.

What is the sealing-wire hole for?

It allows a seal to be fitted to lock the fitting and reveal any tampering, for example on a connection that must be monitored.
