The right hose for each liquid

This category offers suction and delivery hoses, flat hoses, fire hoses, food-grade, fuel, compressed-air and washing hoses, garden hoses, suction kits, hose reels and polyethylene tubes.

Selection criteria

  • Liquid: water, fuel, food products, air.
  • Inner diameter, suited to the flow.
  • Working pressure, higher than your pump's pressure.
  • Couplings: the coupling type is chosen with the hose.

Frequently asked questions: Hoses and tubes

What is the difference between a suction hose and a delivery hose?

A suction hose is reinforced with a rigid spiral so it does not collapse under the vacuum created by the pump. A delivery hose withstands the pressure at the pump outlet; a flat hose rolls up and stores easily.

How do I choose the hose diameter?

The diameter must match the pump connection and the flow you want. A hose that is too narrow slows the liquid and reduces the flow; for suction, choose at least the diameter of the pump inlet.

What do working pressure and burst pressure mean?

The working pressure is the maximum pressure for normal use. The burst pressure is much higher: never use it as a reference. Choose a hose whose working pressure is above that of the pump.

Is a food-grade hose different?

Yes: it is made of materials suitable for food contact (wine, milk, drinks). Do not use an ordinary hose for a food product.
