A tough, flexible and durable garden hose

A garden hose is used in the garden, the yard or the workshop. It is chosen mainly for its number of layers, flexibility and resistance to twisting: multilayer hoses resist kinking and UV better. Rubber or EPDM versions are more robust for general-purpose use.

How to choose

  • Diameter compatible with your couplings and tap (15 or 19 mm for example).
  • Length according to the distance to cover.
  • Material: multilayer PVC for the garden, EPDM or rubber for heavy use.
  • Fittings to plan: quick-connect, locking, tap.

What are the layers of a hose for?

The layers and the reinforcing braid improve pressure resistance and resistance to twisting. A multilayer hose generally stays more flexible and kinks less.

How can I make my garden hose last?

Drain it after use, avoid leaving it in full sun, and protect it from frost. Coil it without kinks, on a support or a hose reel.
