The Storz coupling

The Storz coupling is a symmetrical quarter-turn system, widely used in fire fighting. The two half-couplings are identical, which makes connecting quick.

Choosing the right coupling

  • Size (letter or diameter) identical to that of your equipment.
  • Material: aluminium, brass or stainless steel.
  • Function: hose coupling, cap, reducer or adapter.

Frequently asked questions: Storz couplings

Are Storz couplings compatible with each other?

Yes, provided they are the same size: the system is symmetrical. Check the size stated on the product page.

Can I connect a Storz coupling to another system?

Yes, with a suitable adapter (for example Storz to Guillemin or to a thread). Check the sizes on each side.

How do I maintain the couplings?

Keep the seals clean and in good condition, rinse the couplings after use in a dirty environment and store them protected from knocks.
