The fire valve is a handwheel valve with an outlet (single or double) to which a hose is connected. This category also includes models for dry and wet risers, shut-off valves, caps and supply couplings.

What to check before buying

  • Outlet type: single or double, with or without caps.
  • Diameter and coupling compatible with your installation.
  • Use: dry riser, wet riser, shut-off or replacement handwheel.

Frequently asked questions: Fire-fighting valves

What is the difference between a dry and a wet riser?

A dry riser is empty in normal times and is filled by the fire service; a wet riser stays full of water. The valve must match your installation.

What are the caps for?

They close the outlet when it is not in use, to protect it from dirt and impacts.

Can I install a fire valve myself?

A fire safety installation is subject to precise rules. Call in a professional and follow the manufacturer's instructions and the regulations in force.
