Threaded flanges to connect pumps and piping

A flange is a flat drilled plate bolted to another flange, with a gasket, to connect a pump, a valve or a pipe. Centre-threaded flanges screw directly onto a threaded pipe or fitting, without welding.

Selection criteria

  • Material: 316L or 304L stainless steel, or forged steel, depending on the fluid.
  • Thread and bolt pattern: they must match the flange opposite (DN, PN).
  • Gasket and bolts: a flat EPDM gasket and A2 stainless bolts are available.

Frequently asked questions: Flanges

How do I know whether two flanges are compatible?

They must have the same nominal diameter, the same nominal pressure and the same bolt pattern. See the product page.

How do I tighten a flange correctly?

Tighten the bolts crosswise and gradually, so the gasket is compressed evenly. Avoid over-tightening.

316L or 304L stainless steel?

316L resists corrosion better than 304L, notably in damp or chlorinated environments. Choose according to the fluid handled.
