Filtering hot water: a suitable housing

A hot water filter housing is designed to withstand the temperature of a domestic hot water or heating circuit, in the 10-inch format. It protects taps, mixers and appliances from particles.

Before choosing

  • Maximum temperature and working pressure: to be checked on the product page.
  • Cartridge suited to hot water use, according to the manufacturer.
  • Location: accessible, so the bowl can be opened.

Frequently asked questions: Hot water filters

Can an ordinary filter be used on hot water?

Not without checking. A standard housing is not always designed for heat. Use a model stated for hot water and respect its maximum temperature.

Where do I fit it on the circuit?

Fit it on the hot water pipe, after the water heater, in an accessible place. Respect the flow direction marked on the filter head.

How do I change the cartridge?

Shut off the water, let it cool down and release the pressure before opening the bowl, to avoid any risk of burns. Follow the manufacturer's instructions.
