The Macon ribbed fitting for food-grade piping

The Macon fitting is a stainless steel food-grade coupling with a nut, used to connect hoses and liquid transfer piping. This category brings together a complete ribbed fitting, a tightening wrench and a sampling valve.

Tighten, disassemble, sample

The food-grade wrench tightens and loosens SMS, DIN and Macon nuts without damaging the stainless steel, over a wide range of diameters. The sampling valve lets you check the liquid during transfer without opening the circuit.

Is a Macon fitting compatible with an SMS one?

No. Each system has its own thread and gasket dimensions. Make sure all the parts of a line belong to the same system.

Why use a dedicated wrench?

It fits the nut and spreads the effort. This avoids the deformation and scratches that pliers or an adjustable wrench can cause on stainless steel.

What is the sampling valve for?

It lets you draw a small amount of liquid for a check (appearance, temperature, analysis) without stopping or dismantling the line.
