Repairing a tank rather than replacing it

A punctured bladder or a damaged flange does not necessarily mean the end of the tank. You can replace the bladder, the lower flange or the counter flange, provided you choose the part designed for the brand and model.

How do I know if the bladder is punctured?

If water comes out of the inflation valve, or if the tank loses its air very quickly, the bladder is probably punctured. A precharge check confirms it.

Is a bladder universal?

No. Shapes and fixings vary with brand and capacity. Check compatibility with your tank, given in the title of the product page.

What precaution before dismantling?

Switch off the pump, drain and release the pressure of the tank before opening the flange. Reassemble the parts following the manufacturer's instructions.
