Dewatering pump

Rainwater flows to the low collecting point in the evacuation pump. The submersible pump insures the pumping from rainwater until recover rainwater tank, or to a stream, drain, wedge... Rainwater pumps are used for : > pumping of clear water, run-off water, infiltration water wells, pumping station water. > grey water draining (waster water from sink, soapy water, and low loaded water with polluted materials).

Drainage and dewatering pumps for worksites, excavations and loaded water

Dewatering pumps remove water from an excavation, a pond bottom, a worksite or a basement. Drainage pumps also handle continuous removal of seepage water. Models include single-phase (230 V) and three-phase versions, in stainless steel, with or without a level sensor.

What matters when choosing

  • Flow and head: performance curve on the product page.
  • Particle passage: clear, slightly loaded or loaded water.
  • Power supply: single-phase or three-phase, according to your installation.
  • Control: float or level sensor for automatic operation.

Frequently asked questions: Drainage and dewatering pumps

What is the difference between a drainage pump and a dewatering pump?

In practice the terms overlap. Dewatering empties a low point or an excavation; drainage removes seepage water continuously. Each product page states the model's use.

How do I size the pump?

Estimate the volume of water to remove and the time you want, then the discharge height and the hose length. Compare with the performance curve on the product page.

Can a dewatering pump run dry?

As a rule, no: cooling depends on the surrounding water, and dry running can damage the pump. Use a float or level sensor if the pump has to run on its own.
