Guillemin hose coupling

The Guillemin coupling is a symmetrical system suited to a multitude of applications. Its success is mainly due to its design, which guarantees a perfectly identical coupling: the couplings connect by interlocking 4 helical ramps. For a better seal, a tricoise wrench can be used to tighten the locks. To be able to assemble them, one of the two couplings must have a lock.

The Guillemin coupling

The Guillemin coupling is a quick-lock connection system, widespread in France for suction, delivery, irrigation and agricultural fire hoses. It comes as half-couplings, caps, reducers and adapters.

Choosing the right coupling

  • Diameter identical to that of the hose and the pump.
  • Material: aluminium, brass or stainless steel, according to the liquid.
  • Seal in good condition, for a lasting tight fit.

Frequently asked questions: Guillemin couplings

Is a Guillemin coupling compatible with a Storz coupling?

No, they are two different systems. To join them, use a dedicated adapter.

How do I choose the diameter?

Note the nominal diameter of your hose and your pump. Couplings come in several diameters: check the details on the product page.

When should the seal be replaced?

Replace the seal as soon as it is hardened, cracked or crushed: a worn seal lets air in at the suction and reduces the flow.
