Lifting water where there is no 230 V mains supply

A 12/24 V lifting pump runs on a battery or low-voltage supply. It is used to drain grey or dirty water on a boat, a converted vehicle, an isolated cabin or a mobile site, with a vortex impeller that tolerates particles.

Power supply and safety

  • Battery and charger: a 12 V battery kit with charger is available to power it.
  • Cable and fuse with a section suited to the current drawn.
  • Pump voltage (12 V or 24 V) identical to that of the source.

Which battery should I plan for a 12 V pump?

The current drawn is given on the product page. Choose a battery with enough capacity for the planned running time and recharge it regularly.

Can the pump be connected directly to the battery?

Yes, provided you respect the polarity, use a cable with a sufficient section and protect the circuit with a fuse. Follow the manufacturer's instructions.

Is this pump suitable for dirty water?

Its vortex impeller tolerates particles, but the free passage remains limited. Check on the product page what it can pump before using it.
