Use:
- Well water, raw water, groundwater, spring water, borehole water.
Operating principle:
BIRM is an economical filter medium that removes iron and manganese. It also acts as a catalyst to speed up the reaction between the dissolved oxygen present in the water and the iron. In other words, it promotes the oxidation of FE++ into FE+++. The iron hydroxide formed in this way is easily filtered after precipitation. The filter bed must be rinsed periodically by a simple backwash. This method is used when the raw water contains both oxidised and non-oxidised iron, and also depending on other analysis parameters. Replace the Birm every 5 to 8 years.
Specifications:
- 1 100% anti-corrosion composite resin vessel.
