Polypropylene fittings for polyethylene pipe

Polypropylene fittings are used to join polyethylene (PE) pipe without glue or welding, by mechanical compression. The range includes 90° elbows, tees, couplers, male threaded and female threaded fittings, and sets.

Choosing the right fitting

The fitting must match the outside diameter of the PE pipe and the shape you need (elbow, tee, reducer). Also check the thread type and the allowable pressure on the product page.

How do I join PE pipe with a polypropylene fitting?

Cut the pipe square, deburr the end, push it into the fitting up to the stop, then tighten the nut. Follow the assembly instructions of the chosen fitting.

What does a reduced fitting mean?

It connects pipes or threads of different diameters. The pipe side and the threaded side may have different sizes; see the product page for the exact values.

Can these fittings be removed and reused?

Mechanical compression fittings can generally be dismantled, but check the condition of the seals and the ring before reusing them. If in doubt, replace them.
