A transfer pump for diesel and GNR

These pumps transfer diesel or GNR from a drum, a tank or a jerrycan to a machine, a fuel tank or another tank. They are available in 12 V, 24 V or 230 V, and sometimes as drill-driven versions.

What to check before buying

  • The power supply available where you will use it: battery or mains.
  • The flow rate you need and how often you will use it (occasionally or regularly).
  • Compatibility with the fuels listed on the product page.

Frequently asked questions: Diesel and GNR pumps

Which pump for occasional use?

For a few transfers a year, a compact 12 V or 24 V pump or a drill-driven model is often enough. For daily use, choose a sturdier pump designed for continuous duty.

Do I need a self-priming pump?

If the pump sits above the fuel level, self-priming is useful: the pump draws the liquid up by itself. Check the suction height given on the product page.

Can a diesel pump be used for petrol?

No, not without the manufacturer's approval. Petrol is more flammable and requires specific equipment. See the product page and the instructions for the liquids allowed.
