Hand pumps for transferring liquids without electricity

A hand pump works by arm power: it suits occasional transfers where there is no electricity. Models are available for water, coolant, seawater, diesel and oils, as well as equipped kits for drums.

Choosing by liquid

The pump and seal materials must suit the liquid: some models are for water, others for diesel and oils, others for light or aggressive solvents. The product page states the field of use.

Frequently asked questions: Hand pumps

What flow can I expect?

Flow depends on the model and the pumping rhythm. It stays modest compared with an electric pump: a hand pump is made for small volumes, see the product page.

Is a hand pump suitable for fuels?

Some models are designed for diesel. For petrol or solvents, use only a model stated for that liquid and follow the manufacturer's instructions.

How do I maintain a hand pump?

After use, rinse or drain the pump if the liquid can damage it, store it in a dry place and check the seals regularly, as they are wear parts.
