Flexible impeller pump: gentle and reversible pumping

A flexible impeller pump is self-priming and moves the liquid with an elastomer impeller. Depending on the version, it suits chemical or food liquids, with or without a variable speed drive, and can be trolley-mounted.

Points to watch

  • Compatibility of the impeller and body with the liquid.
  • Dry running must be avoided, as it damages the impeller.
  • Viscosity and flow to be compared with the product page.

Which liquids can be pumped?

It depends on the version: some models are designed for food liquids, others for chemicals. Check the product page and the impeller's compatibility with your liquid.

What is the benefit of a variable speed drive?

It lets you adjust the flow continuously, for gentler dosing or transfer, without changing the pump.

When should the impeller be replaced?

The impeller is a wear part. Replace it if flow drops or if it cracks or swells, and avoid dry running, which damages it quickly.
