Transfer petrol with suitable equipment

Petrol gives off flammable vapours that can form an explosive atmosphere. ATEX pumps are designed for use in this kind of environment. The range includes self-priming pumps, dispensers and transfer units for fuels.

What to check

  • The ATEX marking and the permitted zones of use, shown on the product page.
  • The liquids allowed: petrol, kerosene, diesel, etc.

Why use an ATEX pump for petrol?

Because petrol vapours can ignite from the slightest spark. ATEX equipment is designed to limit this risk. Always follow the manufacturer's instructions and the regulations that apply to your site.

Is an ATEX pump also suitable for diesel?

Some models accept several fuels, others do not. The product page states the liquids allowed: never use them for another product without the manufacturer's approval.

How do I use the pump safely?

Follow the manufacturer's instructions: correct connection, earthing if required, no ignition source nearby. If you are unsure about the ATEX zone of your site, get help from a professional.
