Pump without electricity

A manual pump works without motor or battery: you operate a lever or a crank to transfer diesel, fuel oil or oil. It is useful where no power is available, or for small volumes, for example on a drum or a small tank.

What to look at

  • The liquid to be pumped: diesel, oils, or hydrocarbons and solvents for ATEX models.
  • The volume per stroke and the suction height, see the product page.
  • The equipment: hose, spout or nozzle supplied or not.

When should I choose a manual pump?

It suits small occasional transfers: a drum, a storage tank, a tank on a building site. For large volumes or intensive use, an electric pump is more comfortable.

Which manual pump for solvents or petrol?

Choose a model whose product page explicitly allows these liquids, such as ATEX versions. Never pump a product that is not intended for the pump, and follow the manufacturer's instructions.

How do I maintain a manual pump?

After use, let it drain, store it in a dry place and regularly check the condition of the seals and the hose. Replace any worn part as the manufacturer indicates.
