Measure a flow rate or a volume of liquid

A meter or flow meter measures the liquid passing through it: diesel, petrol, AdBlue, water or aggressive products. Some models have a built-in display, others send pulses to a remote display or a management system.

Selection criteria

  • The liquid measured: the meter's material must withstand it.
  • The useful flow range, from the minimum to the maximum value.
  • The output: direct display or pulses for a remote display.

What is the difference between a meter and a flow meter?

The meter totals a volume that has flowed, while the flow meter shows an instantaneous flow rate. Many devices offer both functions: see the product page.

What is a pulse meter for?

It sends electrical pulses proportional to the volume that has flowed, which can be used with a remote display or a controller. It is useful for managing and tracking dispensing.

How do I choose for an aggressive liquid?

Take a device whose materials are stated as compatible with your product (for example PVDF). Check the product page and ask for advice if in doubt.
