Frequently asked questions: Oil pumps

Is cold oil a problem?

Yes: oil thickens in cold weather and pumps more slowly. Choose a pump designed for viscous liquids and check the product page for the accepted viscosity range.

Why filter oil after transferring it?

Clean oil protects mechanical parts. A filtration station removes impurities and particles from oil before it is reused or stored, depending on the intended use.

Is an oil pump suitable for diesel?

Not always. Each model is designed for specific liquids, listed on the product page. Do not use it for another product without the manufacturer's approval.
