Fire-fighting engine-driven pumps deliver high pressure and a high flow to supply several nozzles or long hose lays. They are used by fire services, companies, farms and public bodies.
Looking for a ready-to-use kit with hoses, lance and strainer, for a property or a site? See the fire prevention engine-driven pumps. The guide choosing a fire-fighting engine-driven pump covers flow, pressure and couplings.
Choose according to the hose length, the number of nozzles and the height to climb. A high-pressure pump suits long hose lays; the product page gives the performance curve.
An engine-driven pump does not depend on the mains electricity, which is an advantage in a fire or a power cut. Choose petrol or diesel according to how often you use it.
Place the pump as close as possible to the water reserve, use a suction strainer and never run it dry. Train the users and follow the instructions.
It depends on the hose length, the height to climb and the lance. Our models range from 16 bar (AUTOFOC 180) to 25 bar (PORTATIL 250, unit with a 600 L tank) and 40 bar (MEGAPRESS), with a lower flow at high pressure. Read the pressure-flow curve on the product page.
A prevention kit (5 to 8 bar) gives a high flow, for example up to 450 l/min, to spray water or supply a lance with short hoses. A high-pressure pump reaches 16, 25 or 40 bar with a lower flow, for long hoses or a high-pressure lance. The kits are in the fire prevention engine-driven pumps.
Yes, several models are designed for it, such as the AUTOFOC 180 or the MEGAPRESS unit; others come with a 600 L tank on a frame, for a pick-up or a rescue vehicle. Check the payload and the fixing, and follow the manufacturer’s instructions.
