Petrol engine-driven pump for clear water

An engine-driven pump works without electricity thanks to a combustion engine. It is used to empty a pond, irrigate, supply a building site or transfer clear water. The models offered are petrol-powered, from 1.8 to 8 HP, some of them self-priming.

Selection criteria

  • Delivery diameter (DN): determines the flow.
  • Power: to relate to head and distance.
  • Self-priming to draw without fully filling the line.

What does clear water mean?

These pumps are designed for clean or lightly loaded water. For dirty water with mud or gravel, choose a model meant for loaded water.

What precautions with fuel?

Refuel with the engine stopped and cool, in a ventilated place, away from any flame. Use the fuel specified in the instructions.

How do I prepare it before use?

Check the oil level, fit a strainer on the suction and check the connections. Before starting, prime the pump following the manufacturer's instructions.
