A self-contained engine-driven pump for pressurised water

A fire-fighting motor pump runs on its own combustion engine: it needs neither the electrical grid nor a pressurised water point. Drawing from a pond, river or cistern, it supplies nozzles over long distances. Portable and high-pressure models are available.

Frequently asked questions: Fire-fighting motor pumps

What is the difference between a portable and a high-pressure pump?

A portable pump is light and easy to move; a high-pressure one supplies more powerful nozzles or long hose lays. Check the product page for maximum pressure.

How do I prime and use the pump?

Fill the pump body as described in the manual, connect the suction hose with strainer and open the valves before starting. Avoid dry running.

What precautions should I take with fuel?

Refuel with the engine stopped and cooled, away from any flame, and store fuel according to the manufacturer's instructions and regulations.
