Submersible well pump in a complete kit to supply a house, a watering system or a tank from a well, a storage tank or a pond: 5" (DN 132) stainless steel submersible pump with variable speed, wall-mounted drive, pressure sensor, 24 l tank, non-return valve and stainless steel fittings. The drive adjusts the pump speed to the flow requested to keep a constant pressure. Flow rate 0 to 4 m3/h (KMXS 305 and 307) or 0 to 7 m3/h (KMXS 505 and 507), single-phase 230 V.

The KMXS kit combines a multistage stainless steel submersible pump with a variable speed drive controlled by a pressure sensor. When you open a tap, the drive adjusts the pump speed to the flow requested and holds the set pressure, instead of starting and stopping the pump at full speed. The kit includes the pump, the control unit, the sensor, the tank and the stainless steel valves: you only have to connect the water inlet, the outlet to the house and the power supply.
A surface pump sucks the water up: its practical suction height is limited to about 7 m. A submersible well pump sits in the water and pushes it: it needs no priming, makes no noise at the surface and suits deep water levels. This kit fits a wide well, a storage tank or a reservoir (5-inch pump, see the limits of use below); for a narrow borehole, read our guide to submersible borehole pumps.
Start with the flow you need: 0 to 4 m3/h for the KMXS 305 and 307, 0 to 7 m3/h for the KMXS 505 and 507. Then check the total dynamic head (TDH): 53 to 100 m depending on the model. TDH adds the depth of the water in the well, the discharge height up to the highest point, the pipe friction losses and the pressure you want at the tap (1 bar ≈ 10 m). Our guide on calculating the total dynamic head explains the method.

With a pressure switch, the pump starts and stops at full speed between two pressure thresholds. Here the drive sets the speed according to the flow requested and the pressure stays steady. The kit adds a drive, a pressure sensor and a small 24 l tank.
No: the minimum inside diameter of the well is 132 mm, while a 4-inch borehole is about 102 mm. For a narrow borehole, choose a 4-inch borehole pump.
Yes: the pump works vertically or horizontally and can rest on the bottom with a minimum water level of 100 mm.
No, this kit is designed for clean water. For dirty water or sewage, see our lift pumps.
All four models run on single-phase 230 V / 50 Hz; the current ranges from 3.3 to 6.8 A depending on the model (see the table).
Note three values: the inside diameter of the well (this kit needs room for a 5-inch pump), the flow you need (0 to 4 or 0 to 7 m3/h) and the total dynamic head to overcome (53 to 100 m depending on the model). Our guide to calculating the total dynamic head explains the method.
A pump does not make water drinkable. To filter sand or treat well water, see the guide treating borehole or well water.
