DECA brass fittings for polyethylene tube

DECA fittings are brass compression fittings for connecting PE tube: straight male or female, elbow, tee, with captive nut. Some come with a swivel-nut valve, with or without a drain.

Getting the assembly right

  • Clean cut of the tube, square to the axis, with no burrs.
  • Tube diameter and fitting thread to be checked on the product page.
  • Gradual tightening of the nut, without forcing, then a pressure test.

Frequently asked questions: DECA brass fittings

What is the swivel-nut valve with drain for?

The valve lets you isolate part of the network. The drain releases the water or pressure downstream so you can work without emptying the whole pipe.

Is sealing tape needed on a DECA fitting?

Sealing on the tube is achieved by tightening the fitting. On the threaded part, use a sealant suited to the application, following the manufacturer's instructions.

Elbow or straight fitting?

The elbow model changes direction without bending the tube, useful when space is tight. The straight model extends the line.
