A panel to control and protect the pump

An electrical control panel brings together the control and protection devices of a pump: circuit breaker, contactor, thermal protection, dry-run safety or level management. Panels exist for borehole pumps, lift pumps, two-pump installations, and submersible or surface pumps.

How to choose your panel

  • Supply: single-phase or three-phase, working voltage.
  • Number of pumps to manage: one, or two with alternation.
  • Current setting range, to be set around the rated current of the motor.
  • Useful functions: dry-run protection, high level, alarm, manual control.

Frequently asked questions: Pump control panels

What is the difference between a single-phase and a three-phase panel?

It comes from the motor supply: a single-phase panel connects to a single-phase pump, a three-phase panel to a three-phase pump. Check the pump's rating plate before ordering.

Can a panel handle dry-run protection?

Some models include dry-run or level management using probes or floats. The product page lists the available inputs and the type of sensor to connect.

Who should install the panel?

Wiring must be done by a qualified person, in line with the manual and current electrical installation rules. A correct setting of the thermal protection is essential.
