Self-priming transfer pumps

A transfer pump is used to move a liquid from one point to another: emptying a tank, transferring between cisterns, filling. The models in this category are self-priming, in bronze or 316 stainless steel, single- or three-phase, sometimes reversible, variable speed or trolley-mounted.

Criteria to compare

Check the compatibility of the liquid with the pump material, the target flow, the suction lift and the available power supply. The values are given on the product page.

Frequently asked questions: Transfer pumps

What is a self-priming pump?

It can expel the air from the suction line to draw the liquid by itself, without fully filling the line beforehand. A first filling of the pump body is generally still required.

What is the reversible or trolley version for?

The reversible pumping direction lets you fill or empty with the same pump. The trolley makes it easy to move from one transfer point to another.

Bronze or stainless steel?

316 stainless steel is more versatile with corrosive liquids, while bronze suits water and some liquids. Always check the chemical compatibility on the product page before buying.
